Artist
Biography
In 2017 she had her big break by being accepted as a Contemporary Artist of Scotland in the Luciano Benetton Imago Mundi International Directory, after exhibiting her work at the Art Village Scotland Gallery, in Shawlands, the Glasgow Gallery run by the art impresario Patrick Evans. After that, she gained a subsidized place at the Dazzling Spark Art Foundation retreat in 2019, where she was invited to share her work in a talk and exhibit some pieces there. The event was so inspiring it led to her creating 5 more works after the event. These pieces of landscapes of her childhood where her Sutherland grandfather was brought up near Ullapool in the Highlands of Scotland, lead to her submission and acceptance to the Open Exhibition 2021, of the famous Harbour Art Gallery in Kirkcudbright, the Artist Town. This led to a commission from the renowned Glasgow Galloway Association to paint illustrations for a booklet on the Wild Flowers of Galloway. She hopes it will only be a matter of time before these works are seen in other Galleries in the rest of Scotland and even abroad.
